The following are the books that I have read in the last three weeks:
Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde
I know why this is a classic. It is a great treatise on the shadow parts of ourselves and an interesting look at who and what we would become if we gave in to all of the passions of that darker self. One of my therapists said that she once went to a "Shadow Party" with group of women. Ever person had to come dressed as their "shadow." Those parts of us that are hard to acknowledge but do lurk inside just the same. What would each of you come as.....a murderer, a spy, a sex fiend, an old bag lady, a bed, a petulant teenager, a jealous child? i know that just like our more angelic natures the shadow parts of ourselves are complicated and we would each be able to choose from a host of characters to depict that darker part of ourselves.
D is for Deadbeat (simple mystery)
a silly but fun thriller by Iris Johanson (I can't even think of the name of it!!!)
Firstlight by Sue Monk Kidd
If you want to read something light but inspiring I would highly recommend this book. she makes me want to be better and live more fully.
I am currently reading:
All Creatures Great and Small
I am loving this book. i will add more as I get further into it.
Breaking Dawn (the fourth book in the Twilight series)
I am finding this the most interesting book of the series but in my book it still only ranks as a fairly good teeny bopper book. Did any of you see the movie? Friends tell me that Eduard is totally hot and that the movie was great..... I don't know. I think that reading the book was more than enough but I hate to miss out on what people are talking about.

Jen, I LOVED Firstlight by Sue Monk Kidd. I was surprised at how good it was. It inspired me as well. The library also has it on cd which I thoroughly enjoyed.
